The Hellenic Initiative Gala

On the 30th September I headed over to the The Hellenic Initiative Gala. It was such an interesting event I wanted to share it with you all.

This is the 3rd annual gala event and this time it was held at 4 World Trade Center. Looking out from the 54th floor, the view was so amazing. I faced the newly built Freedom Tower and I could see the whole of Manhattan Island! This event was to raise money to help the country of Greece. I was there to also help coach Anastasia Zannis sing our American anthem, which is not an easy song to sing. Anastasia was singing both the Greek and American anthems at the start of the gala.

There were many speakers with Greek heritage including His Eminence Archbishop Demetrios of Americas, the CEOs of Coca Cola, Dow Chemical and not to be left out… the Prime Minister of Greece, Antonis Samaras! The Master Of Ceremonies were Emilia Bechrakis and Ryan Serhant (Stars of Bravo’s “Million Dollar Listing New York”),

I was definitely in the world of politics and high profile, corporate society!

A small hang after his @buildseriesnyc interview talking about his new children's book HEAL THE EARTH. Normally I have to color my roots within 3 weeks because if it’s fast growth. Having used #oVertonecolorconditioner, the Extreme Purple conditioner and deep treatment, I don’t need to color my hair so quickly. My roots are now in a lavender color. More people notice my hair is now purple courtesy of #manicpaniccolor, Purple Haze and to #oVertoneConditioners. I’ve never found these in my grocery stores in NY. These were on the shelf in a store in Liverpool. Hmmm
Yesterday it was my friend Deborah’s birthday. We had gone out to hear some good music at The Cutting Room the night before. Also there was my friend Eve Brandstein ... it was a girls night out in The Big Apple. Mother/daughter time. Out to see the play #Hamilton with my friends. Amazing talent on that stage. Great time. Always knew my daughter had flair...she loves her cosplay to this day!
At Meow Parlour with Sebastian. We are hanging with Josie. The chef, Christopher, made the dinner last night with the help from his sous chef, his girlfriend and my daughter, Lara. Delicious! Maria (Nick’s mom and soon to be mom-in-law to Melanie), Lara, Melanie and me at Thanksgiving Dinner tonight. Nick cooked an amazing dinner. Ate too much!
