The Hellenic Initiative Gala

On the 30th September I headed over to the The Hellenic Initiative Gala. It was such an interesting event I wanted to share it with you all.

This is the 3rd annual gala event and this time it was held at 4 World Trade Center. Looking out from the 54th floor, the view was so amazing. I faced the newly built Freedom Tower and I could see the whole of Manhattan Island! This event was to raise money to help the country of Greece. I was there to also help coach Anastasia Zannis sing our American anthem, which is not an easy song to sing. Anastasia was singing both the Greek and American anthems at the start of the gala.

There were many speakers with Greek heritage including His Eminence Archbishop Demetrios of Americas, the CEOs of Coca Cola, Dow Chemical and not to be left out… the Prime Minister of Greece, Antonis Samaras! The Master Of Ceremonies were Emilia Bechrakis and Ryan Serhant (Stars of Bravo’s “Million Dollar Listing New York”),

I was definitely in the world of politics and high profile, corporate society!

Trying out my #MingTsai Air Fryer. I made some truffle salted, rosemary fries for some comfort food on this nor'easter day! What a night of music at the Iridium for Holly Goldrich's For The Love of 48th St. Here I am with 2 friends who performed tonight...Christine Ohlman and Jimmy Kunes. My dinner tonight...tons of veggies with some bean thread noodles. It will be yummy!
It was a fun night of seeing old friends and making new ones. Tom Bergeron, comedian Vince August and I were on the live podcast of "Tony Perkins Show featuring Gary Stein"...should be available soon free on iTunes. So hungry...made lentil soup. My first time. I hope it taste good. The other side of Lara's head....
Now that my chips are cooked, I'm ready to sit down and enjoy these potatoes and watch #TheGrammys with host #JamesCorden. I might have to make more. The end result...now I'm hungry! After pic of Lara's hair ordeal!
